good morning all,

I have a 1997 challenger that has a couple issues.
1. it takes a while to get it started. I have rebuilt the carbs and cleaned them. I also replaced the fuel filter. still has issues starting up.
2. when turning it bogs down and is slow.
3. it won't pull a tube just bogs down and won't get on plane.
4. when I turn right and left it wants to accelerate.
5. it takes a while to get on plane.
any help would be great this is my first jet boat.

When you cay bogs down, are you loosing engine RPMS or maintaining steady RPMS and the boat is slowing and/or not accelerating?

It's doing a little bit of both. The RPMS will stay up while trying to pull a tube but just won't get up and go. If it's just me in the boat it takes a bit for it to get up and go it kind of act's like the wear ring might be bad I think not 100 sure that will fix the issue.
