1997 Challenger 1800 making Loaud noise from Fuse Box-Selliod or Distributor?

I have a 1997 Challenger 1800 that I've had for 8 years. Just got it out of climate controlled storage, dropped in recharged battery, put on DSS, got the beep that all was good to fire-up and then Loud Clicking/knocking sounds coming from Main fuse-box in engine compartment. Removed the cover and had my son hit the start buttons. There is a black unit (distributor?) where the spark plug cables are and its knocking really loud. What's going on? Please help!!!!!

May be your starter solenoid that you hear clicking.

Depending on how diy you are if you arc the two poles where the big red wires are and it cranks over then you may / will be replacing solenoid.

Yup I would tend to agree. You can jump it with a pliers to make sure the engine turns over and if it does, you just need a solenoid. I have new OEM and used in stock.
