Hello,
I just bought a seadoo speedster.
The first time I ran it alone with a few gallons on fuel no problems. Today a ran it with a full tank of gas a another person.
The starboard motor overheated and has since been running rough
I took it out of the water and ran it on the hose. I pulled tube going into top of motor toake sure water was flowing . It ran rough and seemed to cavitate and hesitate with gas.

I put it back in the water to see if it was getting water. It was not. I thought maybe it had a blockage
I took the plugs out cleaned them and put back. Seemed to run slightly better on the hose.

I am trying to determine how much damage the overheat has done and why it's not getting water while in the water, only from the hose.

The other motor had a good flow of water and is running fine.

Thank you& happy fathers day

Welcome to the forum. To determine what damage may have been done to your engine, do a compression test. In regards to the water flow, on the hose the water is actually flowing in reverse. Your intake line may be blocked. Check your lines and perhaps blow compressed air through to see if there is blockage.

The forum has a 2-stroke boat section where you probably will get more responses to your issue. Try posting your follow up there.
