1996 GTI questions

I am looking for a cover for my 96 gti but I cant find any but there are alot that are made for a 1997-2002 gti would these still fit?

Nope, it's a different hull design. A cover for a 94-95 GTX will fit.

What other covers will fit okay? I just need a cover for when I put it in garage wont need to cover it while trailering. What I really want is a yellow and black one or yellow and gray but poppy shows only gray and black.

I'm in the same situation, I just wanted a cover to keep the dust off, I also keep mine in the garage. I just bought a cheap one off EBay, it was in the $20.00 to $30.00 range. Something like this:

It fits fine, it's just nylon, pretty light weight, but for what I wanted its O.K.

If you tow any significant distance, I'd recommend a cover, I've found new nicks in the gelcoat after my last two longer trips towing mine.

How much did they change the hull between 1996 and 1997? Would a 97 cover still fit allright?
