1994 587 spi charging stator/coil !!

i have a 1994 sea-doo spi 587 and the battery will not charge . so i put an ohmmeter on the yellow and yellow/black wire from the stator/coil and got no reading . so does this mean the charging coil is bad or should it read zero . any one know what it should read if not zero .... thanks johnny ....

which is it stator or coil? probably the voltage regulator is the issue.
if you check chargin coil yellow and yellow/black wires should get reading of .05-.6 ohms
