1993 GTX will not start

Just bought a gtx a week ago it ran good but really needed the carbs rebuilt. I had to take the intake off to get to the carbs. I cleaned them up and put everthing back but now it will not start. Just makes a clunk noise and does not turn over? I bought a new battery thinking it did not have enough to crank but that was not it. The ski started fine before the rebuild any ideas? Thanks in advance.

remove the spark plugs, then hit start button.

Do I just put the wires on the Orange things. Also if it turns over then what?

I tried taking out the spark plugs and it still would not turn over. all we took off was the intake and carbs and now it will not turn over all i get is a loud clunk. is there a shim between the intake and the rv? could the rv be bound up? I am really running out of ideas. Thanks for any advise you might have.

pull the spark plugs, and hit the start button. With the intake/carbs off, your still not relieving the compression in the cylinders.
