S sunbaby69 New Member Aug 26, 2010 #2 no a borken rod would prevent motor from starting and if it does, look out so you dont get hit when it flies through side or bottom of block. check compression. could be bad bearings, worn piston/rings...

Dr Honda Well-Known Member Aug 26, 2010 #3 Yes, it can be bad bearings... but SeaDoo pumps knock at idle. Does it go away when you get on the throttle... or does it get worse? Worse = bad bearings. Quiet = pump knock. (don't worry about it)
