1/4" fuel line to small for a 951?

Just got done replacing grey fuel lines and all the little hoses around carbs including the pulse line, and cleaning carbs, and fuel selector. Doesn't seem to pull fuel. Now realize that the original fuel line was 8mm; the stuff I put on is 1/4" or 6.3mm - could this be a problem?
The ski is a 2000 LRV with the 951 in it.
Also the fuel level float and screen fell out of the bottom of the pickup tube into the tank - that couldn't cause a fuel delivery issue could it?

i believe 1/4 is too small 5/16 is correct, however, i've never had anybody tell me that they made it past the installation w/o realizing that a mistake had been done, so I can't comment on how it impacts the engine, but i can safely assume that there would be a negative impact (always running lean) otherwise they recommend 1/4. so i'd change them b4 your next ride.

don't think the pickup would affect anything more than your gauge, but somebody else might chime in....

there is some 3/16" line on the 787 powered skis even, so i would think you want to keep the larger line for the 951 too.
