03 gti le sat for 2 years

hey everybody, i was wondering what all i should check or do to my 03 gti le after it has sat for 2 years. it probably has less than 50 hrs on it. just cleaned and rebuilt most of the fuel system, is there anything else i should look for?

check all wire connections, wires, seals, drain fuel and replace with new. get it fired up and test it on trailer in water to avoid towing bill for something stupid.

I just got mine going after sitting for 2+ years and only had 80 hours on my GTX. I've attached a thread with what I did. I don't think your 03 had the gray fuel lines so you probably don't have the same carb filter issues. Definetly drain the old fuel and start with fresh gas and probably a new battery. A new oil filter is probably a good idea. You might want to try the jet pump oil change - it is pretty easy and takes maybe an hour.
