Purpose and necessity of fins in the jet pump support?

Hmmm it probably isn't the paint then. I may end up removing it eventually anyway because it looks like hell sitting on the trailer (or maybe at least slapping some more paint on it) The supercharger was rebuilt with the steel washers in 2011 (he gave me a receipt for the work)... but i did...

Purpose and necessity of fins in the jet pump support?

The reason i'm concerned with the bottom paint is because if i just press my finger tip on the paint, my finger will be stained white with paint. Its almost like the white coat of paint isn't sticking to the grey primer coat (which is why the gray shows through in so many areas). In my...

Purpose and necessity of fins in the jet pump support?

Thanks for the reply Doc, good to hear from you. Hope all is well with the fam and Islandia! Yep, I sold the 1800 in May. I wanted something with a little more interior room that would still fit in my garage, be a little newer, and be easier on gas (and no more burning oil). I loved the...

Purpose and necessity of fins in the jet pump support?

To add on... the previous owner also had bottom paint put on... maybe that hurts the speed?

    Water in dry storage compartment?

Just to chime in.... I have the 2006 Challenger 180 CS and the ski locker gets absolutely soaked in mine too. There is always water pooling down there for me, which is a bit annoying because my anchor line is always soaked. But I just leave the locker door open when I store the boat in my...

Purpose and necessity of fins in the jet pump support?

We took the pump off of my 06 Challenger 180 CS because I was only getting 35mph and the boat is supposed to do 48 or so. I thought the impeller was going to be chewed up because the boat was cavitating out of the hole, but surprisingly the impeller and wear ring looked pretty good. We put...

    Front speaker wiring for c180?

Anyone? I'm not sure how to thread the wires from the bow to glovebox because there dont seem to be any easy access points.....

    Front speaker wiring for c180?

I want to install a pair of 6.5's in the bow of my 06 Challenger, but I'm not sure how to gain access to the inner part of the boat to run wires from the bow to the radio... For those of you who did this - what did you need to dismantle to be able to run the wires back to the passenger...

2006 Challenger 180 Anybody done an airbox mod ?

I just pulled the trigger on a Riva power filter kit and their oil catch can breather system. I will hopefully have time next weekend to install them, along with a Solas Concord prop... I'll report back!

2006 Challenger 180 Where to put the anchor?

I have a fluke anchor with chain in my ski locker. There are a few drain holes on the sides of the locker so I stick one of the anchor's side rods into a drain hole so it can't slide forward

    2006 Challenger Windshield gasket

Great info for other c180 owners to keep in mind! Thanks!

    2006 Challenger Windshield gasket

I took my windshield off because the boat didn't fit in my garage with the windshield on... The gasket is just a rubber strip that runs along the length under the windshield. Unless yours is in bad shape like cracked or warped from the sun, I don't think you would need to replace anything...

    Operator Error? Starting 2013 RXT-X 260

Like they said above... push the start button, wait a few seconds, then put the key on, then push start button to start it. I hate that it does this. Its annoying. If you dont wait long enough, the ski won't recognize the key and it keeps saying READING KEY.

Swapping out the old ceramic washers on a 185hp.....

My friend is spring shopping for a ski. I convinced him on SeaDoo so we are going over some models to see what he likes out there. On the 185hp model skis like the GTX SC of approx 04-05.... If he bought one with low hours (<30 or so), would he be able to just have the washers switched out...

    Seadooforum stickers!!

Rex... do you still do stickers? I shot you an email a few months ago about picking up some for my new RXT-X but haven't heard back (maybe you have a new address) If you have some time before spring, I would love to get a set that would match the style of the ones you did for my boat. Thanks!

    Radio Problems

Ugh. I'm an idiot. I had both the left front and left rear speaker wires from the head unit wired to a single speaker. Same with right front and right rear. So when I turned up the volume, I'm guessing the outputs were not exactly equal, and something shorted. Why is the radio connected to...

    Seadooforum stickers!!

I purchased my boat 2 summers ago and bought registration stickers from rex a few weeks later... but due to some engine problems and a 6 month business trip to London, I never got around to installing them until last weekend. But they're on now, and they look GREAT! My friends all...

    Radio Problems

I used crimp connectors so I think they are pretty sturdy. I will swap out the fuse with something bigger and see if that stops the problem... I feel like it has to be power related so maybe this will fix it. And it happened with both of the head units I have, so its definitely not internal to...
