Its a good suggestion. I plan to put it in the water and try to see with a flashlight if there is any water entering the hull.
I would have liked to be able to remove and inspect those 2 rubber tubes, to see if they are starting to crack or about to break but it seems that this involves quite a...
To partially answer my own question, I noticed that with a light, I can see part of the tubes from hiside the hull. I also have a snake camera that allows me to inspect closer.
At first glance, the rubber doesn't seem old or cracked... but I was only able to inspect about 30% of the surface...
Hi there,
I recently acquired a 2008 Wake 215 Sea-Doo (GTX) and after changing just about all the rubber grommets and various sleeves that were cracked, as well as the jet pump housing and the bearing inside, I am finally ready to start the season.
However, after reassembling the whole thing...
But the nautilus only goes down to 2A. I should dismiss what they told me at the dealership about requiring less than 1amp for maintaining charge..?
Thanks
Hi,
I find it amazing the amount of contradicting information I get. I live in a city where my Sea-Doo will be out of the water for 8 months. I'm told I need to "maintain" my battery throughout this period. I've heard and read various things:
1- The guy at the BRP dealership told me that I...
Actually, no, distilled and demineralized are not the same: The former is made by boiling water and then consending the vapor, so that you are left with only H20. The demineralizing process uses a different technology/process (that is cheaper) to remove mineral from water, but I don't know if...
Hi,
As I removed my battery for the winter, I noticed that some of the cells are missing a bit of water (although they are all within the acceptable range).
I read that I need to add distilled water, but could only find demineralized water at the local grocery store/pharmacy. Those are usually...
Someone at the dealer told me that I had to "flush" (empty of water) my supercharger. He said the right way to do so was to "disconnect the pipe that goes to the supercharger" and give a few whirls of gaz and the water would come flying out. I have no idea which pipe to disconnect so I wasn't...
Thanks for the replies. As far as I know, it has not been used in salt water.
I've managed to disassemble the turbine and here are some more pictures.
To note:
1- On the first picture, I could see some sort of plastic coming apart (see red square). I thought it was a seal but turns out it...
Thanks for your answer. I do have the service manual and didn't realize this sort of information was in there. I now see that I should probably do some leak tests with the special tools that I don't have.
I'll post pictures once I get to the pump.
Thanks.
Hi,
I recently purchased a 2008 Sea-Doo Wake 215. As I was following the instruction from this site on how to winterize it, I questioned whether it was worth it disassemble the impeller (see video previously linked, from 7m07s) and put the grease back in place. Most people on the various forums...
Ok, well that settles it. Thanks @Sharpester for the link. That site is crap but contains the information.
Also, I edited my original post since I mistakenly wrote that it comes from a 2005 RXT when in fact it came from a 2005 RXP. That explains why I couldn't locate the trim assembly for the...
Indeed, I just purchased this Sea-Doo and that boot was likely the problem. I've changed about 10 other rubber parts all over the place that were also degraded and would probably eventually caused problems. I'm told that if the booth is well maintained and looked after regularly, my VTS should...
