Which engine do you have? How long did the ethanol-containing gas sit in the engine? Unless it sat for a couple of months unused, you should be ok. I think most will agree that sometimes fresh plugs ‘fix’ symptoms like you are experiencing.

I see the spider web cracks, but where on the ski is this?

If the vinyl is in good shape, you may want to consider having them repaired. My rxt-x seat was splitting at the stitches, I took the seat to an auto upholstery shop and he matched the orange ski color with new stitching. Looks great and is holding up well after 2 seasons

Really nice job and thanks for documenting the process with some excellent pics. I now know that this is something I’d never attempt on my own. I see your profile shows you are in Georgia but the ski has a New Jersey registration. Where will you be riding it?

Be careful if you improvise using what you can find. The OEM parts are on the boat from the factory for a reason.

It looks solid enough, but I just took a flashlight and went outside to look at my brothers '09 GTI. It might be a different design, but the impeller housing where the Venturi bolts onto is solid all around.

The "cut" in picture #2 appears to be a crack, almost looks as if someone over torqued the bolt and cracked the aluminum casing. Does anyone else see what I am describing, and does it look like a crack to you too?

How long has it been since the spark plugs were changed? These rotax engines are very sensitive to aging plugs
