96 GTX Question Regarding Stop Button

So I just got done checking it out. The button is stuck and the cover is ripped. It also has a battery disconnect switch which I’ve never seen before. The lady said the previous own installed it so the battery doesn’t drain when not used. Well if you switch the switch over with the lanyard...

96 GTX Question Regarding Stop Button

Hey everyone, So I will be looking at a 96 Seadoo GTX today and the seller mentioned she has ridden it all summer but the stop button recently stopped working as in the start button will start the watercraft but the button won’t turn off the watercraft. The seller mentioned you can still pull...

    2008 Seadoo RXP-X 255 Opinion

Hey Seadoo Fam, It’s been awhile for me on here and as of now I am currently Seadooless. I’ve had 3 Seadoos all two-stroke and have sold all of them because I’ve been wanting to get into the four-stroke era. I had the opportunity to ride a 2016 Seadoo RXP-X 300 and loved it! Last year I almost...

possible stupid question about my XP

Also try to check the connection on your fuel gauge/sending unit. My previous 01 GTX had issues until I found out the connectors were corroded and I used contact cleaner on them.

Perfect! I didn’t really fully understand the throttle adjustment in the service manual but I tried to take the carbs off without messing up the adjustments too much... the pump was off slightly so I fixed that by aligning the notches up. I still have to do the fuel pressure test and prime fuel...

I got my carbs bolted back on and the throttle is smooth and both carbs seem to be in sync along with the choke. I’m a really new to all this adjustment stuff but I tried to adjust the oil pump attached is a picture of the pump can someone tell me if it looks adjusted please and thank you!

Even if the previous settings were at 1-1/2? Also I am using the 95g spring that was in there originally. And I take it 43 psi pop off is good according to SeadooSource which claims 28-48 (what a wide range!)?

    1997 Seadoo XP MPEM

Interesting read as I too purchased a 97 Seadoo XP and am in the process of doing some maintenance work. I like the suggestion of checking out your MPEM connections and cleaning them. My previous 01 GTX would randomly shut off with no power whatsoever and I cleaned the dess post/key and cleaned...

That’s where I’m confused because the settings I recorded while dissembling the carbs was 0 High Speed and 1-1/2 Low Speed. However the SeadooSource says 1-3/4 Low Speed but the actual service manual says 1. Check out this screenshot I took directly from the service manual. I’m not sure which...

Update: I was able to dissemble both carbs using an impact screwdriver. The carbs are now fully rebuilt. I did notice the pop off for both carbs are around 43psi which according to seadoosource is 28-48 psi. I noticed @GGuillot recommended to buy black 80g springs, but the carb reference says...

Okay I’ll check it all out! I wish there were more YouTube video tutorials as I’m a visual learner more than I am through reading. I have the service manual and parts catalog so I’ll try that as reference as well! Also I just bought a $9 impact screwdriver time to go destroy some stuff :angry...

Yeah but there’s two one by the pump and one by the engine. I might try to see if I can check/replace them. Im still a noobie at best.

Cool I might go buy a cheap impact screwdriver because my JIS set won’t come in until Monday and I wanted to get these done over the weekend it’s driving me nuts I’m very impatient. Also that part looks kinda a pain in the butt to check/replace.
