    PTO cylinder damage

I rebuilt the carbs and fuel lines are all new, pop off tests were good on both carbs when I tested them. I failed to mention I had a line pop off for the rotary valve cavity and it did run dry for about 3 hours, I figured the seals were bad for the rotary valve after running no oil. Does that...

    PTO cylinder damage

787 rebuilt from SES this is the BYO option. Motor sat around for 2 years finally put it in this year. Ran for about 5 hours, looks like rotary valve seals are bad. Had a lot of oil in the cylinders and exhaust. Took a look at the PTO cylinder since it was low on compression test, 0 to be exact...

96 GTX 787 Oil in exhaust and loss in propulsion

I was hoping it is a rich oil mixture causing the excess oil, it seems little excessive coming out of the exhaust but atleast in this instance I'd rather have more than less oil in the motor, I went off SES recommendation because I spent soem good cash on the BYO motor and want it to last and to...

96 GTX 787 Oil in exhaust and loss in propulsion

So I have a 96 GTX 787. I have done just about everything to this ski. I got a BYO from SES 3 years ago. When I got it back I did not have the time to put it in the first year. Last year I put it in the ski and had issues with the carb throttle sticking, then bought a house and did not have time...

    Carbs not pulling fuel

SOLVED, needed to cut the plug wires back and now let the smoke dissipate from it finally firing up.

    Carbs not pulling fuel

Also there is a vent hose going to the right side of the ski in the front from the "T" in the fuel lines. Does that need to be clear ? I tried blowing air in and out and nothing.

    Carbs not pulling fuel

I did that, it and primed the lines, it ran for a second and shut off. Now everytime I try and start it, I have to pull the choke it attempts to start then cuts out. My plugs are also getting wet and obviously not getting spark so I have to pull them and dry them. Each time I do it sounds like...

    Carbs not pulling fuel

I have re-built the carbs as well with a kit from Mikuni.

    Carbs not pulling fuel

New motor from SES only fires when I shoot some premix into the cylinders or carbs. Wont pull fuel from tank. Disconnected the fuel intake line from the filter resevoir and put it in a glass of premix and still did not pull any fuel. Primed lines, filled filter resevoir, it will take whats in the...

DESS no beep, no lights, no gauges nothing,

Thanks man ! That was my problem that little wire was on the wrong post as soon as I swapped them I got power. Now just to put a starter in. All it's doing right now is buzzing and when jumping the relay it does nothing.

DESS no beep, no lights, no gauges nothing,

96 GTX 787, put a new motor in from SES but have no power when putting DESS key on. Checked all connections, changed ground wire from (-) battery post to block (On starter bolt), ground wire from rear electrical box is connected inside the box and at the battery. Cleaned all connections, no...

    Throttle sticking at carbs

Solved: Hoses between carbs were too tight. When torquing carbs down to motor I think it was causing the carbs to twist. Changed the bolts and added more slack between the carbs and no more sticking

    Throttle sticking at carbs

    787. I spoke with someone at the local seadoo store he said the carb body could be bad. They do not stick unless they are torqued to the motor

    Throttle sticking at carbs

The throttle closest to the front of the ski sticks only when the carbs are torqued to the motor. I bolt them to the rotary valve cover with the cover off the motor they do not stick. I did replace the rotary valve cover with another used one since the threads stripped out of the old one. The...
