Good chance it's a solenoid. My 95 XP did much the same, starter would only click repeatedly even with a new battery. New solenoid was cheap and no problems since. It's located inside the MPEM (grey box) left side of battery.

I've been considering moving up to a new or late model RXT lately but I too have seen several stories of sunken machines. These are relatively new machines and can't possibly all be caused by neglect. Are there common failure points on these machines and what, if anything can be done to prevent...

It's inside the grey plastic box with all the electronics that's beside the fuel tank. Once it's open it's an easy change and it wasn't much $$ either.

My 95 XP was doing the same thing. Starter was fine, turned out to be a bad starter solenoid.

Got 2 machines now, need to get a decent double trailer. Been checking out a double Triton Elite aluminum with a torsion axle, anybody have any experience with these? I want a good trailer that will last with these ever heavier machines.
