My fuel pressure is perfect. Runs perfect on the trailer. It’s only in the water.
Having the exact same issues as the person who started the thread below back in 2012
2002 GTX-DI no power in water That thread was closed so no idea if it was ever solved. But I did try sending him a pm.
I did...
This weekend I met some of the members of the west coast watercraft club having there 2nd annual lake Powell trip. The Arizona club is also up here on the lake this weekend talked with some of them for a few.
The ski runs fine on the trailer can rev up rpms but once it’s under load in the water rpms don’t rev up above 3k
Should I try cleaning the rave valves?
Had the ski scanned and there was a long list of codes thrown but they were all inactive.
Removed aftermarket fuel filter and tried running without it but didn’t seem to improve.
Have not checked fuel pressure while it was in the water only on the trailer.
Parker Yamaha said compression was good. Guess I should try to figure out how to do compression test myself.
Ok so I did the fuel pump and pressure tested good. Put it on the water and it wouldn’t go over 3k rpms took it out of the water installed brand new spark plugs and water tested it again with no improvement. It sounds great on the trailer though.
Can you release the fuel pressure in the lines similar to how I’ve heard it’s done in cars by unplugging power to fuel pump then cranking engine a few times?
