After a great 9 year run I have sold my boat. We had some amazing adventures on the water, but the time has come to move onto something else.
We ended on a high note. The boat ran great and we had a blast all summer. Even better, a friend with teenage kids bought the boat and now their...
I've long distance trailered my boat a few times. Keeping the cover on was my biggest issue. I had to stop often to ratchet it down some more. The cover seems to stretch and work itself loose on the trip out. On the way back it seems better.
I put a piece of split pipe insulation over the...
We mostly boat in Canyon Lake outside of Phoenix, AZ and there is one place on the lake where Ski Mode often goes nuts. I assume it is due to the canyon walls blocking the GPS signals. Not something most boaters would experience. Restarting seems to help, as does moving to a different part of...
My 2010 210 430 HP also sees 50-51 WOT on a calm day. 7800 rpm is normal for my boat. My analog speedometer reads a little slower than the digital readout. What elevation are you at. We are at about 2000 ft and when the weather is hotter the boat is lucky to hit 50. Still, fast enough for me.
I just replaced my 2nd Poppy cover with a 3rd. The first lasted 3 years, the 2nd lasted 4 years. The new cover material seems heavier, not sure if it really is or the old cover is just worn. The ratchets and the pockets that contain them are definitely upgraded over the last cover I bought...
I have that same pump. It works really well. My only wish is that it was bigger so that it could hold the oil from both of my engines at the same time. Save the box it comes it. It stores really well.
Buy the SeaDoo Oil Kit with plugs and filter. It is exactly what you need.
We had a similar experience this spring. The bilge pump hardly pumped anything. Blew out the line and then water started pumping out like crazy. I didn't see what was in there but it must have been something to plug it up like that.
Bottom line: Test your bilge pump.
I replaced my sagging net today. When I pried the panel away from the side of the boat over 30 T-pieces fell out. Since I am the original owner of this boat the factory or the dealer must have replaced the net before me.
Mo more sagging net. We'll see how long that lasts.
Here you can see that the cover wraps under the edge of the back of the boat.
The cover sits above the swim ladder.
I have the cover on a bit lopsided, lower on the right than on the left.
Contact Terri at Poppy Covers and ask to have a cover made with the ratchet on the side near the front. It can't hurt to ask.
