Some people love em, some hate em , I run two sbt engines and never had a issue and there great .
What...
Maybe a fuel issue. Or carb issue. Did you use a Genuine kit ? Did change the needle and seat , jet ? If carb is OK check fuel filters.
Ps. I'm no expert. Have twin 720s is my thing. Lol
I kind of experienced the same problem with mine It was very hard to start almost like it was flooded Turned out to be the pop off pressure.. I would take a look at the carb and double check that pop off pressure to make sure it's within specification
I get 42mph solo with Bimini top up, 135psi both cylinders both engines 6800rpm. . Same boat. I am running premix and am waiting on new bigger jets. That should increase fuel delivery and hopefully rpms and maybe speed my a mph or two.
Yes, I had same issue. It's the pulse line for the fuel pump.. the ski you probably removed the engine from Likly had the fuel pump on the carb... jusy get a longer hose to run to your fuel pump.. That's what I did.

hopefully you can figure out why it happened . You pre mixing or injected ?
