Yes thats a newer Rotax . The price ranges with those for a re man, about 2500-3500 with a good core . The merc is impossible to buy a reman . Check out 4-Stroke Premium Engines: ShopSBT.com Some people love em, some hate em , I run two sbt engines and never had a issue and there great . What...

    Need help deciding on boat

Personally I'd stay away from the merc. they're very expensive to rebuild probably $5000, Whereas a rotex you're looking at a 1000 to 1500

    Seadoo Speedster 787 jet boat

Maybe a fuel issue. Or carb issue. Did you use a Genuine kit ? Did change the needle and seat , jet ? If carb is OK check fuel filters. Ps. I'm no expert. Have twin 720s is my thing. Lol

    Newbie: 1998 Sportster Twin 717 (85hp) -- Trouble W/ Starboard, Plz Help!

I kind of experienced the same problem with mine It was very hard to start almost like it was flooded Turned out to be the pop off pressure.. I would take a look at the carb and double check that pop off pressure to make sure it's within specification

1999 Seadoo Sportster 1800 top speed

I get 42mph solo with Bimini top up, 135psi both cylinders both engines 6800rpm. . Same boat. I am running premix and am waiting on new bigger jets. That should increase fuel delivery and hopefully rpms and maybe speed my a mph or two.

Swapped 717 doesn't match up, what to do?

Yes, I had same issue. It's the pulse line for the fuel pump.. the ski you probably removed the engine from Likly had the fuel pump on the carb... jusy get a longer hose to run to your fuel pump.. That's what I did.

Hi all. Long time no talk. But that’s a good thing. Haha. Just rebuilding my carbs, I have a 1998 sportster twin 717’s single carbs . The pop off Pressure in the shop manual shows 38 (+-12) .
