the dog bed works great because it folds around the side of the engine bay, covers the hinges on the lid and you can shift and reposition yourself and it pretty much stays where you put it. Aside from the blood running to your head from being upside down it makes the whole experience much more...
I bought a cheap dog bed. Whenever i'm doing engine work while it's in the boat i lay it over the back seat or where the engine cover hinges and lay across it. i promise it's the best $30 you'll spend for working on these boats!
that is why i'm asking about the difference in 787 RFI and 787 Carbuerated RAVE valves. I have access to ones that came off of an RFI motor. They are being brought to me at work this coming week so i'm going to see if i can find any differences in them since the free price tag is hard to argue with.
not the blade but i think the tolerances are off and the oring isn't sealing properly allowing exhaust gas past because the bellows are melted and the cap is damaged.
There are write ups about using two sperate mpems and having two dess posts. There is also a guy on here that used two msd ignitions and made them work.
I ended up painting mine for the time being, i had them off and the shop had a two week wait... i got spring fever and wanted to go fast. I'll take them back this fall.
Is there a difference in RAVE valves between the RFI engines and the carbs? I had another valve eat shit this weekend and it blew the red cap and spring out the top taking the threads with it, along with the usual carnage to the bellows and piston. I have a buddy at work that has a set that he...
When you say fully turn over, do you mean the engine cranks from the starter but doesn't actually start? Is it turning slowly. What is the condition of your battery? an old battery may show 12 volts or better but fail a load test and fall flat on its face when you actually try to put a load to...
I'm still fairly new to the twin 787s but i know they are notorious for MPEM issues, you may try reading some threads about them to see what you can figure out.

this is what i just ordered for my 97 challenger. I'm going to install it on the port side under the sundeck directly above the battery.
did you bench test the starter? i had one on my starboard motor that bench tested fine but when i installed it on the motor it would engage the flywheel but would not actually turn the motor over. I ended up buying a cheap starter for $40 online and it's been going ever since. I know a lot of...
I considered that initially but when i figured the time of doing the prep, cleaning it, buying adhesion promoter, color coat and clear coating it I would only be saving a few dollars if i bought "quality" rattle can products. The sign shop quoted me $56 dollars to do both windshields.
