If the ski has been sitting and had unknown history the service manual will be your best friend.
There's many threads on here about what to do and in what order when you get a new to you Sea-Doo.. Search around and see what you dig up. The more info the better and it's good to do things in an...
Sounds to me that you likely named the issue. There is a couple things that could lead to your symptoms.
1 would be that the carbs need to be tuned. You could be loading up at low throttle and clearing out the excess gas when full throttle
2 would be what you mentioned. The cavitation is so...
I went to check the compression s couple days ago when I wanted to winterize it but the battery decided it has had enough so I gave up on compression testing for the moment
I'll just go ahead and get some new check valves for the vents ordered. This ski was my budget ski so anything I didn't...
Thanks. I've left Colorado and moved to an unnamed location with huge lakes all around. Looking forward to next summer to do some exploring.
It is a big upgrade on lakes and a small downgrade on working on my skis as I no longer have a garage big enough to accommodate my trailer
Thanks for the advice fellas. All my stuff is in a moving truck and has already passed delivery date. So I have no idea when it will be here. I've got a spool of cable with it so I'll replace it once they arrived.
I'll check on the starter as well though it was rebuilt not to long ago so I hope...
Evening fellas.

Morning guys.
I'm trying to get my 95 gtx running and it's giving me some trouble.
It was running good all summer, probably put about 10 hours on it. The last ride I had it out for it would be running great then kind of stutter. And I'd have to push through the stutter and it would run fine...
Id say they only sure fire way to know is to pull the drive shaft out of the pto.
By that point you should know if it is the pump and you can try to spin the pto by hand to tell if it's the motor
The muffler can move around a bit since it's just stapped in. You should just be able to move it.
Assuming the pipe has all it's bolts in that's really the only variable I can see
You could always give Nick at West side power sports a call and see if they have any.
The real question is why replace them vs rebuilding the ones you already have?
