    4Tec years to avoid?

I waited all summer and finally picked up a nice 2013 GTI 155 SE. It is an awesome machine ~60 hours on it. Well maintained. Made the wait worth it!! I love it and plenty fast for me. Unbelievable what some people value these used at around here. Locally there are ones listed that I offered...

    Depreciation from new

To put some context around this: All below had between 40 and 50 hours all with cover and trailer all private sales. 2012 GTX s 155 with some dealer options $10,500 CDN OBO approx $8,000 USD 2012 GTR 215 $12.000 CDN or approx $9,100 USD “fairly firm on price” 2014 Wake 155 $12,000 CDN or...

    Depreciation from new

Like almost every type of mechanical form of transportation, the original purchaser see’s a depreciated value of their new purchase. What are folks thoughts on what the % or amount is on a Sea Doo and more or less on certain models. My reason for asking is in relation to the prices I see in...

Opinions on newer Sea-Doo and leaving it in the water

Correct. When I said all summer I really meant middle of June to middle of September at max. Short season in some parts of Canada

Opinions on newer Sea-Doo and leaving it in the water

Should clarify that it’s in a fresh water lake. I know older fibreglass boats can develop blisters on their hulls (osmosis). Not sure if anyone has seen this on a PWC

Opinions on newer Sea-Doo and leaving it in the water

Been thinking about upgrading to a newer seadoo. Actually talking myself into potentially a brand new unit. I know it's preferable to never leave a Seadoo in the water. But in my case I have a cottage on the lake, don't always have a reliable extra person to assist at the ramp. So I tend to...

    Rotary Valve Oil Send Line

Been busy then vacation so no follow-up posts. I have been able to enjoy the ole goat of a machine for the last few days at the lake. After fixing the oil send line, I could still see a minor leak, couldn’t really pin point but much less oil than before in the hull. Given summer was flying by I...

    4Tec years to avoid?

I missed out on a nice clean 2008 GTX 155. A local dealer has both a 2006 and 2007 GTX 155 (100 and 170) hours respectively and a 2016 Spark 900 H.O (50 hours) on trailers for basically the same $. $500 difference in price low to high.

    Rotary Valve Oil Send Line

Heat wave finally gone in my area so I got a couple minutes to look at the return line. I ended up disconnecting it at the top of the oil tank and kept raising and lowering the line until all the air bubbles came out. Looks like it was trapped air. Reconnected the line and it is filled to the...

    4Tec years to avoid?

Thinking of getting rid of my 2 stroke once I get it in a good running state and moving to a 4 stroke preferably closed loop cooling. Any advice on years to avoid? when the majority of any kinks were out of them etc. Thanks

Yes. It looks like that to me

    Rotary Valve Oil Send Line

Put more oil in the tank this morning hoping that that would do the trick. No way. I still have about 18 inches of the return line with no oil in it at the motor side. And then near the top before it "could" return back into the tank there is about a foot with oil in it. No clamps or anything...

    Rotary Valve Oil Send Line

I had a clamp on the return when I removed the send line and left it on until the send was back on. I figured it would fill back up on it's own too. The only thing is I have some oil trapped near the top of the return line. But of no pressure than having trapped air in the hose shouldn't...

    Rotary Valve Oil Send Line

Also after replacing the RV send line which is filled with oil now. I notice the return line isn't full of oil. I assume when the engine cranks this should happen immediately?
