Bilge pump most likely , it should power down after 1-2 minutes in the newer models this was reduced to 15-30 seconds to save battery .

If that tube is broken that’s the over heat issue, sensor might be good

Just hope you it did not damage the small tube feeding water into the hull it also happens when the rocks gets past the wearing .

Look at the temp sensor for damage , via the oil cover to access the oil dip stick , you can see the water box and the sensor, your prop wearing could be damage and no water pressure going to exhaust manifold .

If it has the up and down trim buttons you can use the over ride , attach the dess key to the post and press the start/stop button , just to power up the cluster. hold the ibr lever all the way back and when you hear the beep press the red button on the cluster, still while holding the ibr...
