What I did to my 4-tec boat today...

Behind the front passenger cushion in the bow section is a great place for an amp install. I have 2 x amps installed there and still have heaps of room in the glovebox

Depth Finder Install, 2011 challenger 180

Yes then to get the dash out you need to take the bolts out around the silver trim

    Help me find...

Oh no it's quite interesting as when your out using the bit the alternator charges the battery and you see the lights turn orange and then green the longer your out

    Help me find...

Nothing too difficult about it. Find a 12v source behind your dash to power it. Run two lengths of twin core cable directly from your battery to the indicators on the guge and your set. Crimping lugs and running the cables are probably the most taxing of jobs for this one. Also I had to sand...

    Help me find...

Also one year on its still going great. Went for a long run on the weekend at Mallacoota. Battery 1 jumped up to 14 volts which was nice. Small amount of surface rust on a small part of it.

What I did to my 4-tec boat today...

Confirming this mod is amazing. Changes the dynamic of the boat completely at low speed. Came into dock at Mallacoota yesterday and didn't get it quite right. Was able to reverse out with current and wind and try again. No side to side at slow speed. Held position a lot better.

What I did to my 4-tec boat today...

Broke one of my Bimini mounts the other day. Upgraded to stainless and drilled out for bigger screws into the hull. Looks sweet.

Removal of seat back-rests on Challenger 180

Nice one, did you buy the red one that was for sale? Try keep the front bow cover on if your surrounded by bigger boats. It doesn't take much to get a wake over and into the boat

What I did to my 4-tec boat today...

Haha thanks, that's crown casino there on the south bank of the Yarra river in the 2nd pic, had the challenger parked out the front of there for NYE fireworks a few years ago.

What I did to my 4-tec boat today...

Because I kept sending things to my family over there and they kept trying to find bigger boxes haha

Changed the mechanical trim on my jet nozzle.

haha try doing that job without pulling the pump out. It took me over an hour to line up the bolt again working between the nozzle and the ride plate. very frustrating haha
