2003 Islandia, 250 Opti: we were out yesterday and the boat was running like a champ. After we stopped for lunch and I went to put it in Reverse I couldn’t move the shift lever. Made sure the throttle was all the way down-nothing. Got to the point where I could barely get it into forward. Help...

The tach doesn’t work on the boat but she is not reaching full revs. Struggles to get on plane and isn’t nearly s fast as she was. I changed spark plugs in my initial attempt to sort it out. What else should I look at? TIA

I am following this thread as I want to put a second batt in my ’03 Islandia. To ground the second batt do you connect the negative terminal of batt 1 to that of batt 2? Also wondering why didn’t do this sooner.
