Slow and boring will be relative.. I cannot speak to power of gti, but the even larger gtx with 787 is quite fun, specially for new rider. Not as nimble by any means but for a new rider or if he plans to have passengers a larger ski could be beneficial starting out. Dad's gtx has no problem...

Makes sense. Not sure what you mean by Block drain though? You mean the ports in the head? We flushed thru one, but not all of them. I am home now, no access to ski, but will guide dad on these things to do..
