    Won’t start

    Found the problem. It was the key. Listened to the beeps and it was not making good contact. Held the key on hard and it fired up and ran. It’s weird that one engine will start no problem the other you have to push key on and hold it.

    2008 Sea Doo Challenger 430hp. One engine will not start. Ran both engines early in day and they were fine. Tried to go out in it again and right engine will not start. Turns over fine, but will not start. All fuses are fine and fuel pump is working. Any ideas where to look next? No warning...

    It still had room to go. I just didn’t take it to 8000rpm. I will give it a try tomorrow. I will let you know what I get.

    Update for all that helped me thru the process of engine removal and cleaning. Engine runs great. After a couple of trips to the lake, some tightening of clamps on the exhaust, and replacing a broken throttle cable I finally got a good day of water testing yesterday. Boat sounds different now...

    Thanks for your reply. I found it yesterday. The line from intercooler to manifold had come off. Put on a new clamp put it in the lake and all was fine.

    Boat is 230 Challenger 430 with 2-215hp supercharged.Engine is running great, but temperature light is coming on and a very loud beeping noise also. Looking at coolant and it is not boiling over. Is temperature light on dash for engine temp or is it for exhaust temp. Not sure where to look...

    Update! Engines are cleaned out of debris. Trailered to lake and both run nicely. Couldn’t do much riding, since I found one engine had a broken throttle cable. So, have not been able to go over idle on the right engine that had water in oil. Hopefully the cable comes in quickly and I get back...

    Shaft Guard Missing

    Just pulled pump on port side of Challenger 230 SE. I noticed the shaft guard is missing. Is this a problem. Starboard has one. Never noticed before when I have been under the boat and I have no idea how long it has been gone.

    It has been removed off boat. I have used heat with no luck. The Allen heads stripped very quickly. I have started drilling them out with electric drill, but not happy with it. Afraid I was going to get it crooked, so I went and bought a drill press. Hopefully I will have time to work on it...

    Does anyone know how long the threads are on the M8x110 bolt that goes through reverse gate support, venturi, and out the impeller housing? I cannot get them out. They are seized. I have tried heat and I am wondering if I drill the head off will I be able to get the reverse gate support off then...

    Camshaft journals are fine and so are oil pump gears. I was very lucky.

    Update! I have taken the head off and everything looks good. I split the block and rinsed it out with cleaner and washed the rest of the metal out. All the metal seems to have stayed in the bottom of the engine. I have seen no visible damage from any metal running thru the engine.
