Will start if I prime plugs, then dies, and wil not start unless I prime again. It has rebuilt carbs with mikuni parts, new fuel selecter switch, all new fuel lines, new fuel filte, new plugs. What could be wrong/

Sorry, by grinding I meant the starter was turning over the engine. Just a few minutes ago I poured a small amount of gas in the carbs and the engine started and seemed to run fine. Since I got it running I'll probably wait till next spring to take it out for a run. Thanks for your reply

had the carbs rebuilt with mikuni parts, ski will not start, I push the start button and get one pop then it just grinds. I pull the plugs and they are wet with gas and oil, dry them off replace them and push start button, same thing one pop then starter just grinds. Is the rebuild most likely...

that is what I was afraid of, and I just had the carbs rebuilt.

Now I have another problem, as I said before the engine will turn over a couple of times and then quit. I got the bright idea to pull the plugs and try it. When I did that the engine cranks but gas pours out of the plug holes, any idea why the gas would pour out like that?

yes, it turns freely with the plugs removed

rebuilt the starter motor. Pressed start button engine turned over 3 or 4 times then stopped. Pressed start button again solenoid engages but engine does not turn over. Help

ski was running fine, all of a sudden it will not crank. the solenoid engages but the motor will not turn over. If I remove the plugs the motor turns over fine. Put the plugs back in and the solenoid engages but no motor crank. Disconnected the battery and put the ski on my car battery, same...

I can't get the end clips on the the air cleaner cover. The other ones went on fairly easy. Is there a trick or is it just a pain to get the end ones on?

changed the gas lines on 96 xp, and drained and cleaned the gas tank. What is the best way to prime the engine to get gas flowing on the initial startup? Thanks

screw is not missing I removed it.

yes I have a new one coming, but the problem is I can't get the new or old one to snap in. How much pressure does it take to get it to seat? I'm afraid to break something.

Is this plastic filter supposed to snap into the baffle? This one just falls out.
