    Oil Filter change

I ended up having to take the carbs off to do some other work so getting at the bleeder screw was easy. After it was bled I noticed air pockets in the filters and got rid of them by raising the line coming from the take and chasing the air back into the reservoir. When I change them in the...

    Alarm temp switch

Have you checked the oil tank level? I’ve gotten a constant tone when it’s running low

    RESTO 97 seadoo sportster jetboat

You’re getting two chirps from the buzzer? If you’re cranking over the motor, I don’t think that sounds like a DESS key problem, more of a fuel problem. What was the fuel level? Did you try turning the selector to reserve?

    Correcting for Torque Steering

I was referring to the throttle cables not steering. Check your shop manual for steering adjustment. I don’t know if the admins allow parts of the manual to be copy and pasted in threads cause it’s part of the premium subscription, which I highly recommend btw. If you’re worried about the...

    Correcting for Torque Steering

Have you verified that both engine rpms are sync-ed? I know on my 96 Speedster if they’re more then 100-200 rpm difference I have to countersteer to correct the lack of thrust on one side. If you’re constantly pulling to one side, a cable adjustment might be the fix you need. If that’s not an...

    Cooling pisser weak stream

96 Speedster, port engines pisser is a lot weaker than the starboard, which is a nice solid stream. Had it on the lake for a couple hours, with a half hour cruise there and back and didn’t have an issue with overheating. I just had to lean over the back every once in awhile to make sure it was...

    Appreciation for Sea-Doo techs

I do have to say now that it’s done it wasn’t so bad. I had to learn some lessons the hard way on tricks that make the job easier. But I got A LOT better aquatinted with my boat, and took care of a bunch of things before they had a chance to give me a problem. Over the winter I: -rebuilt both...

    Appreciation for Sea-Doo techs

I just wanted to say that I have a new-found appreciation for you people crazy enough to work on these things full time. I’m changing over the oil in my 96 Speedster to one that I know to be safe, and figured it would be a good idea to replace all the oil lines while I’m at it as they feel...

    Oil Filter change

Is it necessary to bleed the oil pump after changing the filter? I’m thinking maybe if I clamp either end of the filter, remove old and install new, then loosen tank side clamp to allow filter to fill with oil and then reconnect the lines and remove the clamps it should eliminate/minimize any...
