    Narrow Two-Place Trailer

I built mine from an old load rite single ski trailer and found a used up double ski trailer for parts. A welder is a must . A lot of the bunk mounts were bolted to the donor trailer, but there was no place to bolt them to the trailer I was building. The trailer holds the center of the skis...

    1995 Seadoo XP 720 vs. 1996 Seadoo XP 800

I have not been on a 720 ski. Only ones i have had were the 94 gtx wit a 657x, my 94 speedster with twin 657x, my 2000 gtx 951 and my 96 xp and gsx. Tooling around with my wife, the gsx and the 2000 gtx are a nice match. She's happy at half throttle and I'm doing circles around her. Seems that...

    1995 Seadoo XP 720 vs. 1996 Seadoo XP 800

The 720 engine put out 85 hp vs the 800 putting out 110 hp. I have a 96 xp and gsx and both have the 800. Very fun skis. As far as 2 for 1 trade? That's your call.

    Side Water outlet hose?

Need to get rid of those gray fuel lines. They will cause problems with fuel delivery.

Engine Alignment Tool - Houston, TX

Where are you in Houston? Clear lake here and i have one. It's a pretty quick operation as long as you have the shims ready and the pump removed. What ski are you working on?

    Carb fuel return plugged

I remember that I had that problem once. I used a piece of mechanics wire and fished it through. It was corroded with hardened green goo. The wire was stiff enough to bore through it, but flexible enough to make the bend.

I use a rubber hose and can direct it into the carbs. I can assure you it oils the engine quite well. I also do the cylinders as mentioned.

I drilled a small hole for my fogging oil hose to go into at the top of the air box. I have the 2000 millennium gtx. I just use a small plug when I'm done fogging. I did remove the box before drilling. Since I ride in brackish water only, I flush after each use and fog. Houston is humid and...

    runaway idle

If it is a runaway (uncontrollable rpm with the dess pulled off) is usually from an idle setting that is set too high. I am assuming you had this on a trailer and the engine revved up without you doing anything? For the record, when this happens, hold the throttle wide open. This will...

    Replace 787 Bendix?

Yes, you can replace the bendix. Get the old snap ring off, in one piece if possible. And the bendix and gear will slide right off. They sell new bendix units also. The snap ring is the hardest part. I used a pair of vise grips to hold half the ring in place and a small screwdriver to open...

    96 XP Engine movement?

You can see the back 2 motor mounts. If you reach in and grab one side of engine on back of block, you can lift the engine a bit if broken or bolt come out. Same on front. By yourself a 2x3 inch mirror. You will need this when working on the skis.

1997 gti “ spin out “ trying to take off

Still sounds like the wear ring has too much clearance or you are sucking air. Try taking a zip tie and put it around the carbon ring bellow to tighten it up. Just snug enough to force the carbon ring up to the steel ring. See if that has an effect. Not sure if that model has the bumpers on the...

    Model recommendations

I have a 96 gsx, a 96 xp and a 2000 gtx. The wife loves the gtx, but it does use the fuel. The xp has a very small tank and if you ride like me, you will hit reserve in an hour. The gsx, is in my opinion, a great all around ski. Nice fuel capacity, great jumping, quick take offs, vts, and...
