Each engine has a grey box with lid from jet skis, and the Mpems, starter solenoids, and cdi, (ignition coils) are mounted in them.

Conversion was done on my boat by a mechanic and it was running, unfortunately it ended up having some starter issues later. The mechanic that did conversion was 60 miles away so I had local mechanic work on starter issues. He kept boat 10 months and kept promising it would be ready the next day...

Has anyone done a Mpem conversion using jet ski Mpems on each engine?

Do the hinge pins come out of 98 Seadoo sportster 1800 engine hood?

I had the ones that you crank without the neutral safety switch. I can look in the box and get numbers off the cdi. Also, I see several light blue wires I don't remember seeing when the 2 were first put in there. Last mechanic said he had to put another cdi box in and that.'s what I'm not sure...

I had my Mpem replaced with 2 Mpems and later had starter trouble. The last mechanic kept boat 9 months and took boxes apart and never completed the work. I picked it up and engine compartment is a mess. Does anyone have a picture where each wire should go in each box so I can make sure they are...

I used shop vac and got water out and will try and get it out of water in a day or two and replace bilge pump. Thanks for the reply.

My boat is in the water and I used water hose to rinse it the other day, and now it has about 6 inches of water that want drain, bilge pump is under water. Can they stop up and not run, I don't here any noise like I could before, and battery is charged?

98 sportster sucked up rope on left engine side, but it's about a foot from back part where it was sucked in, what do I need to take off to get to it? Its happened before but it went in impellar at the rear. Do I still need to take off impeller?

Put boat in today for the first time this year and got both engines running (1998 Sportster) but after running for a minute or 2, the alarm would go off. Tank is full of gas and oil is also full, felt around motor and it wasn't hot at all, also cranked each engine and ran by itself and alarm...

Thanks guys, made my own "special tool" and got it out, after battling steering wheel for a while
