I am going to patch the deep gelcoat damage and then give the whole bottom a spray coat or two. The gelcoat at the bow seems to be super thin.
How do you remove the black adhesive that held the shoe?
You know the drill. Too many projects, not enough me. Im ready to focus on getting this done. I have a weeks vacation coming up and I plan to make some serious headway on this project.
Ok, back from the dead.
I ended up taking everyones advice and driving up to Michigan late last summer to pick up a clean donor hull. The top end is back from group K and the engine is disassembled.

Is it worth spending the money for a quality crank rebuild? any recommendations...

This is the good part. The hull is completely stripped and as clean as its going to get. I am now able to really asses the damage.
