Got it all out now thanks for all the help but now that it's out doesn't look like just seized up pistons lol and a bunch of sand/salt in the water jackets. Haven't taken the cylinder head bolts out yet to find out for sure if the cranks locked up to but it's not looking to good lol

So I slid the collar back and all that was underneath it was a rubber o-ring

The metal piece in front of the accordion boot slides up and down the rod are you talking about the sealed boot closest to the engine??

I'm trying to remove the engine in my 96 seadoo xp 800 does anyone know how to remove this shaft? I don't have enough room to pull the motor out with it connected. and of course the manual says nothing about removing it lol
