    Helpful Tips

The DI's are great ... when running. It is mostly about fuel pressure and voltage. I actually have not had much trouble at all keeping my four DI running for over 20 years.

    seadoomanuals.net not working?

You have to pay to be a Premium member to get access to the manuals. It used to be free to everyone.

    seadoomanuals.net not working?

That was a free site for many years. It still says FREE and there appears to be no changes in the outward appearance. Was it not started by people outside of the Forum? Did Seadoo Forum buy that site, or pay to have exclusive rights? I am curious about this history. I would often use the...

    Manual contradicts itself

The 243 blue is only under the bolt head. The threads need the Molykote "grease" since cooling water can easily get in that area and corrode and lock up the threads. It's not a perfect solution, but at least there is a little bit of surface area under the bolt head for some 243.

2003 Seadoo RXDI fuel system leak

I agree with everything WaarrEagle mentioned with only minor additions. Yes, the compressor input hose coming from the throttle bodies is to get "relatively dry" air to compress. The early aftermarket fuel pumps to replace the OE could draw 12A+ which is way to much for this system to...

2003 Seadoo RXDI fuel system leak

However, also note from the service manual, that the test should use an overpressure relief valve to avoid possible damage to the compressor. It would be great to know what pressure this relief valve is set at (Seadoo PN529 035 711). What if the relief pressure is only 92 psi? These type of...

    2001 GTX DI - Won’t Start (Video)

I hope the battery was at full charge after sitting. It could just be low battery power. Since you bridged the relay posts, it is either a low battery or a bad starter. I would definitely check for a strong battery before pulling the starter. The starter is on the port side under the intake...

    2001 GTX DI - Won’t Start (Video)

First of all, you have the GTX DI model. (not RDX or RDI). You are going to love this thing. Your statement "The shaft Ali a free" I hope means that you were able to hand turn the PTO flywheel? This is good. Your video describing all the stuff you replaced in the electrical box must mean it...

2003 Seadoo RXDI fuel system leak

You shouldn't be checking for leaks "outside" of the fuel loop, those would be obvious and very hazardous. The "leaks" you are talking about would be inside the fuel loop. By fuel loop I mean the high pressure (107 psi) hose from the fuel module, through the fuel/air rail, then the low...

    Winterization Question

There is a fairly elaborate procedure to winterize the DI (see manual) of pinching off then releasing various hoses in order to force the antifreeze through areas like the tuned pipe, bottom end, and muffler. In other words it is not as simple as just back-flushing with antifreeze. You...

951 DI nightmare please help (no start)

I see you stating "fuel pressure good" at 27 psi. There are also a lot of air pressure statements. However, I don't see a fuel pressure reading while cranking. The 27 psi fuel pressure above the 0 psi air rail pressure is only the first step. The fuel pressure needs to be at least about 90 psi...

Seadoo DI (Direct Injection) Fuel Pump Replacement Guide

You are not making a lot of sense. In a normal assembly the pump circulates fuel through the fuel/air rail and extra fuel returns to the module in the tank through the top holes. If you don't have the 107 psi when testing the pump by itself outside the module then it won't work. Remember, you...

Seadoo DI (Direct Injection) Fuel Pump Replacement Guide

The spring keeps the module on the bottom of the tank. It isn't compressed much. The sliding seal doesn't need to move much during all normal operation. The module is constructed with a foot valve that keeps the module full even when the tank is near empty. The OEM pump draw is about 4 to 5 A...

Seadoo DI (Direct Injection) Fuel Pump Replacement Guide

Electrical connections obviously need to be tight and electrically insulated, but not sealed from the fuel. This is common in fuel submerged connections. The plastic support just needs to keep the pump "centered" in the module so it doesn't flop around and cause leakage at the sliding seal. I...

Seadoo DI (Direct Injection) Fuel Pump Replacement Guide

Before the current 342DI pump HFF offered a few others, one being the "white top" 342-RTN (which was actually for a Ford Mustang). The RTN pump drew about 9A power compared to the 342DI only drawing about 6A. I would try and test your pump outside the module, just in a container of fuel (be...
