Winterizing - Antifreeze vs. air blow

The main purpose of the rv antifreeze is to get anyplace that had water during operation. Should use low pressure air to blow moisture out first. My process, I have the 215 scic internal intercooler. I pump in with engine running using the hose flush port and run until comes out the jet for a...

New to me 2009 Challenger SE 255HP first time out problems

Sorry this is your getting feet wet experience with boating. First thing, no more running your motor till you have a better idea, could be causing more issues. If you’ve heard that much screeching and it’s your charger you’ll likely have some shavings visible if you pull off the inlet hose and...

2008 Wake 230 - dual 215's - check engine light when DESS key plugged in, no starter

Check the fuse block near the starter relay. Likely a blown fuse if immediately

Recommendation on rocker switches for 2008 Challenger

Good call out. The little springs were a pain, I wasn’t expecting them to pop out. From both sides, took some trial and error to get back in the right spots.

Recommendation on rocker switches for 2008 Challenger

are they worn out or not working? I bought some on Amazon and went to replace but the wiring has been a pain, didn't go in how the instructions said. also found half of my non working were easily fixed by pulling apart and cleaning the corrosion off the contact points with rubbing alcohol. If...

    230 Challenger drops from N to R

I feel ya, have an 07, 230 with the twin supercharged. Thrust from the jets and water conditions play a big part of when it will hold in neutral or push out of etc. calm waters rarely pops out, any sort of current or chop and it’s right away. I’ve just made a rule not to leave helm while motors...

    Rope stuck

Easier to remove the pump, can inspect the impeller boot too. First time sucked a rope in our 230 the rope melted to the impeller boot and need to be replaced. First time pulling pumps is a pain but not super hard. Have a couple 5 gallon buckets to rest things on. This is decent guide, single...

    Fuel filters

Delphi BFS0112. Has both filters and the rubber bushing for bottom of fuel pump. Need one set for each motor. Also replaced the gasket between tank and pumps, they were in sad shape. I don’t have the part number for those handy. On a related note, fuel gauge works now after cleaning the...

    08' Challenger 180 5 hours

Exactly what Ski-d00 said. Hate to say but I’ve lost an engine to a supercharger. Better to play safe and rebuild, risk is too high.

    Challenger ski pole stuck

Do you have access to the bottom of the pole, my 230 the pylon was stuck. Put some oil around the top let it sit for 10-15 then used a rubber mallet from the bottom to free it. Mine had basically frozen in. There’s a notch and a little spring mechanism that holds in place.

    Fuel filters

If you haven’t, I would highly suggest. I only run premium clear but even with gas breaks down, junk gets in the tank and overtime they do what they’re supposed to. I’ve owned the boat for a long time but have never changed until this spring. I can tell you it’s an easy job, messy, but easy...

For the speakers I replaced the stock with 4, MB Quart 6.5 MB Quart NK2-116W Nautic Speakers... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WRPGBT6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Have them hooked to...

What happens if the supercharger fails - Challenger 180

Having had a supercharger blow up and take out engine everything Mac said is spot on. And as long as you buy and know it’s part of the cost of ownership you’ll enjoy it. Even with the issues have had replacing motors etc I love this boat. This will probably be last year only because kids are...
