    2000 seadoo xp pump shimming

You can use washers, but it doesn't take much to move those so they need to be really thin. I've cut shins out of aluminum cans for this more than once

    Dan Fairchild of Fullbore

I just got word that Dan passed away this morning of liver failure and pneumonia. Despite poor business practices, he really was a decent human being and will be missed by many.

    587/720 swap

find a 717 x4 ski for a donor (95 xp, 96 spx) as you're going to need pretty much everything. Electronics, cables, entire exhaust.. the 97 sp was a weird little 717 ski that had different cylinder porting and a low rev limiter that made it really asthmatic. Since there were no more 587 or 657...

    951 Carb engine cases mismatched

You shouldn't, you really need to get a matching set of cases. I've got 5 sets and only need two for my last two builds, and i'm dealing cheap on parts if you need a set

    possible rebuild

then why are you asking if you can do a new top end When it blows, you will want to do a new crank and top end with that many hours.

    possible rebuild

At 250 hours, do a new/rebuilt crank, cb, and top end. Fix it all correctly the first time, it'll be gas and go for years

RESTO Just bought 2 01 RX DI

to check CB oil on those, you have to remove the exhaust to get to it, then remove the tube, then remove the plug/vent,.. it's a lot of work. To be completely honest, I've only ever had one CB cavity that was dry, and that was because the cases were destroyed. Every other 951 that i've ever...

RESTO Just bought 2 01 RX DI

agreed with everything but the lines.. i've never seen those go bad on the later model 2 stroke seadoos. If rebuilding the engine, then yes, but replacing them to just replace them (especially on a DI where the oil lines go behind the engine, not on the intakes.. you know this) I wouldn't bother.
