ok I think i understand your question a little better. You are wondering if the stock seadoo impellers cavitate at higher elevations even if they are in good condition. Like water boiling at a lower temp at altitude.
It sounds like you think the motors are running properly but Did the boat come from sea level? Is it jetted for your altitude?
Are the motors bogging or singing when you go full throttle? If the motors rev and the boat doesnt go anywhere, thats cavitation. If they bog then its a motor...
looks great, good job. What kind of paint did you use on the rubber handles etc?
how much does your tow car weigh and does the boat have more horsepower than the car?
So you can reboot the system and it will start but only stay running for 2 minutes, then both engines shut off. Then you do the ritual again and get the same results?
Are you getting any beeps?
I think the mpem only shuts the motors off if it thinks the lanyard has been pulled. The DESS...
which boat do you have? I'm working through a DESS circuit issue at the moment. Its possible your mpem thinks that the lanyard is being pulled and its doing you a favor by killing both motors
Seadoo challenger random stalling / intermittently cuts out
How high does your boat ride in its bunks? I have my 1997 boat on a roller trailer and i have to back my truck far enough to submerge 1/3 of the rear wheel to unload the boat.
i want to convert the trailer to bunks but wonder what the oem configuration is. What is the distance from the edge of...
I was shocked last year when a faded 1800 sold for $1250 at auction last year. The seats were trashed, there was no key to get into the engine hatch to see if there were even engines in there, no dss key and 2 inches of leaves on top of the shredded boat cover.
I wouldn't do seats for less...
I would probably go to walmart etc and buy new tires and wheels to take with you, maybe new hubs all greased up and ready to roll. Return them for a refund if it turns out you didnt need them.
I bought one in worse shape but the trailer was collapsed so I brought my own flatbed to haul it home...
How far do you have to tow it? What is your budget for fixing it?
There are a bunch of things to do before you should even try a compression test. Start by getting a service manual and read up on all the mpem threads you can.
The brain for that (mpem) is over $1000 if you can find one...
Boat survived the trip but I had a definite issue. I have never left the boat in the water for any time longer than a lunch break.
Of course I had a leak so I needed to pull the boat out the first night. It was coming from below the driveshaft bellows out of sight, of course. I could feel...
I'm taking my boat on vacation for a week. The rental house has a dock. Is the boat going to dissolve if I leave it moored in saltwater for a week? The boat ramp is a couple of miles away but I'd like to not hassle with pulling it out every day If I don't have to.
Plan is to get a new...
