97 speedster mpem

Looking for some insight mpem 204-470-056 for twin 717s i got the 5amp fuse pop of death going on
I've checked both stators and recs both seem fine is their any other possible shorts I or issues i should be looking for that could cause mpem problems any help is appreciated

The mpem is dead. Take the two powers and the ground and touch it to a battery if it blows the fuse its dead. I do have a replacement but it not cheap.

Yeah I've bench tested it that way and the second it gets power it pops. Im just trying to rule anything else external out that could have caused it to go bad or is it just one of those parts that just go bad and thats that
