1st time

This is my first post (I think it will work). I just bought a 1997 speester and am in the process of fixing things. The wiring is a mess. What I propose todo is run a hot and ground to a board under the stearing housing and connect u p the blower, lights, and bilge pump. I would appriciate any comments, suggestions, hints, and comments.

HI,

Unfortunatly copper wires tend to turn black beneath the plastic coating
and the ends lose there conductivness.
You can eventualy loss all power to some instruments through this happening.
As you say running a new ground just might solve this one for you.
Well worth trying.

Yes, a lot of the wires I am taking out have black ends.

I have a wiring diagram, but the harness is confusing.
I think this has been "added to". there are many non-used plugs.

Yes, they can be confusing if modified. You will need to go through them and figure out what is what.
