Default '10 Challenger 210 SE - Water inside Hull storage compartment

    Hello Guys,

I bought this boat last week.
There is water inside of the hull storage compartment ( ski storage ) and I do not know how to get it out. I turned on the pump and opened the drain plug (on the lift) and nothing comes out. Water is just in there.

    Please advise

    Default water in ski locker

My 09 speedster 200 does the same thing, raise the front of the boat higher than normal and it will run out to the bilge and out the drain plug.

I had the same issue with my 2008 Challenger 180 SE. I eventually took it in to my local dealer for troubleshooting and they found that the fiberglass around the driveshaft was defective. It had air bubbles in the fiberglass and allowed water to constantly (all though very slowly) leak in which always kept the storage locker full of water. Since the bilge pump sits back by the motor and slightly higher than the water in the storage locker, the water was never pumped out. The good news is that Sea Doo did agree to repair the fiberglass issue. The bad news: They took 4 months to approve the warranty work and my boat sat in the shop the entire time. Since I got my boat back the water issue in the storage locker was much better but then the super charger failed (another week in the shop and a few hundred $$$). A couple weeks after that the cam chain failed which destroyed the engine. The engine had 74 hours on it! Even though it was out of warranty by then, they agreed to replace it with a remanufactured engine. I haven't gotten it back yet but when I do I'll probably use it for the rest of this season and then sell it and move on to something more reliable. The only conclusion I can make is that Sea Doo builds some very low quality products. I would give them high marks for "fun factor" and I think their boats are definitely designed with the true boater enthusiast in mind. But that is where I believe the positives end. Good luck with your water leak issue. Hopefully yours will be an easier fix than mine. Make sure you check all your fuses. There is also usually an inline fuse for the bilge pump which can be hard to find. Most of all...Happy boating!!!

Have you guys seen this thread/poll here?
    http://www.seadooforum.com/showthrea...t=water+locker

20 out of 22 who responded says this is a normal condition with these/their boats. The mechanics on the board claim that the "carbon seals" are designed to leak for cooling purposes. I've come to accept it but rgrinch's experience is interesting...

LIfted the front end and all of the water came out after opening the drain plug.

    Thanks for the help.
