    Default Oil injection or premix?

Hey guys first time post but I have a question. I have a '97 challenger 1800 that had a fresh rebuild when I bought it last summer. It runs great and don't have any problems but my question is, how reliable are the oil injectors on this boat? Can I run it hard all summer with the fuzzy feeling that my engines are always getting proper lubrication or should I just forget the injectors and premix? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I donít have enough time on mine to know firsthandÖ butÖ they are suppose to be very reliable.

The main problem is people donít change the little filter, and it plugs up. (starving the engine for oil) or, the vinyl hoses crack, and draw air. Either problem isnít a ďPumpĒ problem, but itís still something that wouldnít happen if you were running a premix.

Iíve had old dirt bikes, (back in the 70ís) that had injection pump problems, and Iíve had Kawi and Yamaha watercraft that the injection pumps were pulled after the warranty was over because of high failure ratesÖ but I left the one on my 96 Sea Doo boat because they are suppose to be reliable.

    Just some input for you.

I'm not going to be able to do vinyl or carbs for a while. Starting my new job is taking a lot of time

Thanks for the input. I know these boats have warning lights and such. I just think if I bypass the inputs and premix then I know and don't have to worry about it. I just love my boat too much to spend all summer rebuilding an engine instead of scaring the kids by doing kittys.
