Yep. As for compression, don't quite recall but it was good (within spec).

Ok, so I've got a 99 XP Limited and it will kick up to 7k rpm when you first take off but only for about 2 seconds. After that it drops to about 5800 and won't go any higher. Tried choking it, only got worse. Tried pumping the throttle while at speed, still no change. Only time it goes to 7k...
