    5/16 fuel line

It wasn't personal, nor meant to be an insult or a dig and I could care less how much or how many times you or anybody else tore something apart for show and tell there's a reason the USCG farms out all the real service work to competent mechanics on their aircraft and boats lives matter when...

    5/16 fuel line

There's absolutely no reason to encourage someone, especially a Canadian resident with what fuel line and parts prices are up there to replace the fuel lines in a Sport Boat on a whim without identifying a material defect. You have absolutely no hands on experience or knowledge in these...

    5/16 fuel line

Unless your filter is full of fuel line delaminating on the inner walls don't worry about replacing it, Transport Canada has different requirements from the USCG's A1 hose anyway and you'll spend a small fortune on new line you really probably don't need. Just pressure check all your lines and...

2001 seado GTI fuel line diagram

Dave if you're having any trouble making out the locations of the line connections they hook up like this from a top looking down perspective, with reserve being to the left of the wiring and the return line from the carb to the right of the wires.

    CanDoo requirements

Here's the fault data screen for a GTX RFI I had in recently, that mpem will tell you quite a bit about what's going on no matter how well it may or may not be running.

    CanDoo requirements

Only for the updates, at this point the designers have worked out the few automation bugs that were in it early on and updates are few and far between. It's a great system, unlike having to select an application specific software packet in BUDS for a programming session CDP auto detects the...

    CanDoo requirements

You can run the software on any of the following: XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10 with .net 3.5 SP 1. Windows RT can't run it due to not having full .net capability. We use a couple of tablets for dockside and in water lift service that work well if you really don't want the size or expense of a laptop.

    99 Speedsteer engine surging

Most likely, and a carb in perfect working order tuned to it's intended application with the correct airbox is only as good as the condition of the rotary valve and cover clearances that govern the manifold pressure and air velocity that allows it to operate and deliver fuel and air as needed...

Need a local mechanic. Replaced MPEM stiill no spark

The shop tool part number for the 800 engine is 295000136, not easy to find one as they obsoleted the part early 2000 something but BRP's outboard test harness is an identical harness with the same Deutsch connector ends and wiring color/locations in the plugs there's an aftermarket one on Ebay...

97 GTI Turns over will not Start - Fails Timer Verification Test

Not at all, you've verified function of the ignition and mpem already it's working fine inspect your rotary valve and cover for wear and clearance and make sure it's timed correctly when it wont pop by adding a little fuel to the cylinder your problem lies there somewhere.

97 GTI Turns over will not Start - Fails Timer Verification Test

The timer circuit is programmable from 0-33 seconds, you need to read the MPEM and see what the setting is programmed to that test is worthless if it's set to zero.

97 Speedster Carb Clean or "Rebuild"

1.5mm N/S's are correct for your application on the '97 Speedster, use an 80 gram spring (black) and run 182.5 main jet and 67.5 low jet with the low speed adjuster out 1 1/4 turns. Seat the high adjuster and back it off half a turn so you have a visual reference point, from there to 1/4 and...

    99 Sportster 1800 Carburetor removal?

The injection cable is secured by a jam nut on top of the throttle flange, there's another 10mm nut on the bottom of the threaded cable barrel just spin that jam nut off the top and turn the threaded barrel out of the linkage and let it rest on top of the plastic cable guide.

1997 GTI - where would I wire a kill switch?

Your MPEM isn't seeing the ground path from the magnetic reed switch in the DESS post becoming an open circuit when the lanyard is pulled or it's not shorting the rev limiter circuit to kill the engine when you press the stop button. Worst case scenario it's an internal issue with the MPEM...

1997 GTI - where would I wire a kill switch?

Be VERY careful trying to wire a kill switch to a 717 ignition so you don't wind up with high voltage from the coil back at the switch you install, that's the MPEM's job to isolate the voltage and keep you safe from it. You can't measure the peak voltage at the coil without a true DVA...

Refueling question from new boat owner

A Garmin GPS with the proper map for your location will show you every fuel stop in front of and in back of you, invaluable tool when you're running the IC as it also has all the channel markings and speed restriction zones in it. I used to boat quite a bit on the Indian and tributaries and...

Need advice on engine loss of power

It will take about an hour and a half including the learning curve for your first time to remove and clean the raves, replace the water valve bellows and head to the ramp for a water test I'm booked out until the end of summer but if you want to bring the boat by and turn your own wrench with...
