Sea Doo Spark - Review from a Newb!

My local dealer in upstate NY has several in stock and there is about 1-2 week order time (I window shopped :drool5:). I like the concept of the Spark. The sales guy summed it up perfectly. The recent models are boats, the Spark is a jet ski. I could get 2 for less than a price of a new...

2010 Wake 155 with small chance of towing

Thanks for the feedback all. I took the boss (wife) to view it yesterday. She is leaning towards it but not the price so much. The weather has been crappy here but that could change quick. That will definitely affect price.

2010 Wake 155 with small chance of towing

I'm looking at a 2010 wake 155 with only 40 hours. It's in great condition and comes from a reputable dealer with a new trailer and cover. I don't plan on towing any wake boarders and maybe a tube once or twice a year. The machine looks good and seems to run well. There isn't much used PWC...

Buy 2003 Sea Doo GTX 4 TEC (non super charged)?

Good to know. That is exactly what I'm looking for. Reliable engine with decent power. I don't have the time or skill to do many repairs so I like something that will run forever! Do you usually ride solo or with a partner? With 2 kids and a wife I quickly learned that "2 person" skis are...

Wow I need to do some exploring! I've only gotten mine on Braddock's Bay and Seneca Lake.

Hauling all the junk to the beach...rebuilding my beach cart.

Ha! I was going to say the same thing. Around here the season is about the same. If I lived in Florida I would find a way to commute to work on my ski.

Selling your ski then new owners having problems...

In many states, the law involving sales between two private parties is based on the principle of caveat emptor, or buyer beware. In other words, in these types of sales the item is generally purchased "as is" with no type of warranty. There are usually exceptions based on fraud...

I need help naming my new to me boat.

I really like "Bons Temps" a lot. I know absolutely no French but I can still figure that one out. Good conversation piece when you pull up to other boats too! :)

    Trailer Hitch Guides

I usually just eyeball it and man-handle the last couple inches also with my single ski. I would try the tennis balls first. If you don't like them you are only out a few bucks. Plus if you order from Amazon they offer free returns. The back up camera is nice but expensive. Backed up my...

    99 GSX Limited Help

Took it to my local dealer. Compression test showed 150 or 160 psi (can't make out the writing). I had a bad fuel knob that kept switching to off and eventually got stuck there. They also replaced 2 fouled plugs. I think a couple of you mentioned the engine might be fueled starved. Spot on! :)...

    Utopia 205 SE 430 HP...Do I pull the trigger?

I've only been on this forum about a month and everyone has given me extremely helpful, free advice, especially Dr. Honda. If I had to pay for this great info I wouldn't be able to afford my ski! I think the nature of this forum is such that withholding Information is not in anyone's best...

Buy 2003 Sea Doo GTX 4 TEC (non super charged)?

Good to know. I had my ski a month and only put about 10 hours on it. Realistically, given the short riding season and having 2 small kids I would guess putting about 30-40 hours per season. That should give me a few years right? There doesn't seem to be anything good on Craigslist or eBay...

Buy 2003 Sea Doo GTX 4 TEC (non super charged)?

As some of you know from my other posts I'm having trouble with my 99 gsx limited. I was thinking of buying a 2003 GTX 4 TEC, the non super charged kind. List price is $3,995 without trailer. It has 186 hours on it. Here is the link to the dealer's website listing...

Need Advice - Thinking about purchasing GTR 215

Same goes with me. I just bought my first ski about a month ago. The folks on here are extremely helpful. Listen to their advice. My ski is smaller than the one you are looking at but after I did it once or twice it was no problem putting in and out with one person. Good luck

    99 GSX Limited Help

Here are some better pictures of the impeller. I opened the seat and did not observe any obvious leaks or spills. I did notice a small pool of this blue green liquid on the bottom of the hull, maybe around 6-8 oz worth. It doesn't have any particular smell to it. Due to rain, I didn't have a...

    99 GSX Limited Help

Didn't get a chance to post a pic yet. The prior owner told me that he would pour a small amount of antifreeze over the engine. I assumed he meant over the winter but maybe not. Could this possibly be antifreeze and water?
