I have had a couple. They seem to work fine although the one I have now has never chirped. And yes if you leave the key in and replace the battery cable it starts cranking all by itself.

I pulled the valve out and yes it was leaking by. The tank pressurizes itself so thats why the fuel kept coming out. Took the valve apart and found a bad oring. Replaced it and it seems to be ok. Still wouldnt start so I replaced the plugs and she fired right up.

I just checked it. I have the front of the ski raised up a couple of feet. There is a drop of fuel coming out under the exhaust every few seconds. I get the feeling the fuel selector switch is bleeding by. Now how do I get the fuel out of the crankcase?

Not sure Im reading that right. If the cylinder is bored 045 over, a standard piton would be way to small. The piston would be flopping around in the bore and ruin the engine.

I always use marvel mystery oil when Im trying to get a engine unstuck Diesel is ok but doesnt lubricate very well. When your spinning it over with the plugs out pour a bit down the spark plug holes. It will chase the bad stuff out.

Gave her a buff and new stickers. Came out pretty decent from a distance lol. I still have to fix a spot on the hood and repaint it. Kinda neat my local paint shop mixed up a couple of spray cans of purple paint.

What I was really thinking was that it is a little lean. That is why I have to tap the choke to keep it running at idle. Im hoping it will warm up a little this week so I can play with it a bit.

I rebuilt the carb going by mikidymac`s tutorial. The idle adjustment is set at 1 1/2 turns out. I dont have a tach so I would be guessing on the rpm.so 1400 rpm it would be pushing the ski. I could use gps to figure mph.

After getting the 96 gts running I turn to this. The real project. It has set for years but looks like low hours. The engine spins over easy. I am sure I will have my hands full with this one and will probably need lots of help.

No a ball hone doesnt take much off. But you do need to mic the cylinders to make sure they are close.
