Fire extinguisher to fit in mount

I've never been able to find a fire extinguisher that fits in the plastic tube mounted in my 2004 sportster - any ideas where to find a narrow (reasonably priced) one that'll fit in there?

What hose to I clamp if I need to be towed

    THANK YOU and I apologize for the delay, work has been crazy. I'm afraid I'm not that mechanically inclined. What you said; What I heard o_O If possible & you have a moment, can you draw an arrow on this pic to the hose that should be clamped off? Here it is from the other side;

What hose to I clamp if I need to be towed

I hope it never happens, but if it does - I understand that you need to clamp a hose somewhere when being towed over a certain speed to prevent water from getting into the engine. Can anyone tell me where that hose is - I have a 2004 155 sportster single engine.

    Engine causes radio interference

I already had a 2nd battery in the boat I wanted to dedicate to the stereo so I went ahead & made that change. It was an improvement for sure. I'll know more when I got up north again, back in the city now & the radio station is really close. A couple of things tho; 1. The head unit draws ~80...

    Engine causes radio interference

I have a minor-ish stereo (I like it) no amp just a head unit, couple 50 watt speakers & a powered sub. I like to listen to the baseball game but the engine destroys the AM radio reception. I do not notice this when just playing tunes on the USB interface. Is this a capacitor thing? Or...

    Engine "flat" when idling/exiting launch

Thanks guys, changing a plug is something I can do. My research says NGK DCP-R8E. I'm not sure the plugs have *ever* been changed, boat is an 04 with (I'm guessing) 75 hours. Since I often drive slowly, I guess the plugs could be fouled, or is that urban myth? My brother always gave me...

    Engine "flat" when idling/exiting launch

Hi Guys, I use my 2004 sportster 4tec 155hp (single engine) only about 5 times a year (wife/kids/job). When exiting the boat launch I have to go very slowly, in forward at idle speed. I noticed last weekend the motor sounded really flat & rough at idle, like it had gotten loose on it's mount...

    Ethanol or Propylene Glycol

I only run my boat maybe 10 hours a season, mainly we hang on the beach. When it's time to put it away all I do is; 1. Flush the system with coolant (as we're discussing above) 2. Add fuel stabilizer & run the motor for 5 min with hose to get it thru the system. I change the oil maybe...

    Ethanol or Propylene Glycol

Engine running - or engine off - while I put the antifreeze thru? Love the quote, have seen that one before.

    Ethanol or Propylene Glycol

Thanks, I won't sweat it then. Engine running - or engine off - while I put the antifreeze thru?

    Ethanol or Propylene Glycol

When winterizing my 2004 155 hp single engine 4-tec, I gravity-feed RV antifreeze thru the water intake in the back. I was wondering about the following; 1. Anyone have any thoughts about using Ethanol or Propylene Glycol for this? Propylene Glycol is a little more expensive and I read here it...

Conversion - Tail light 4 wire, Trailer 3 wire

Figured out & fixed. It's not all good news though, I didn't use the LED's. What I'd said; What I didn't realize is that the brake + turn signal also dimmed the original bulb. It's more noticeable with the LED taillights, I'm guessing because LED's are more sensitive to voltage changes. So...

Conversion - Tail light 4 wire, Trailer 3 wire

New lights both have identical wires. Unfortunately the house ate my voltmeter, until it turns up, no readings.

Conversion - Tail light 4 wire, Trailer 3 wire

Thanks. My vehicle has separate turn & brake lights (Sienna 2010). So I need a converter (link handy?) and I would still use the trailer as ground - do I have that right? Not looking to re-wire the trailer, thanks for the offer tho.

Conversion - Tail light 4 wire, Trailer 3 wire

Finally got around to installing these new LED taillights from ebay but had a problem; http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2X-LED-Tail-Trailer-Light-Indicator-1X-Number-Plate-For-Jet-Ski-Boat-Submersible-/370760923090?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item565312b7d2&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1 My...

    2004 Sportster guages fuse blowing

The internet consensus on the speedometer seems to be let it fail - GPS speed is far more accurate. My pinwheel turns well, at some point I may check the wires coming off it but I'm not going to knock myself out over it.

    2004 Sportster guages fuse blowing

Did you ever find out what was wrong with your speedometer? All my gauges work EXCEPT for the speedometer. Possibly a fuse issue?
