You can run non AP carbs and rejet. I delete the AP on all my skis.

I believe it was @racerxxx that made them. I've been 3D printing block off plates for a few years now. Works well but not as nice as the aluminum ones.

It's almost always the two exhaust mount bushings and/or pipe alignment and torque sequence. The updated exhaust manifold with the o-ring helps too.

There was a TSB released for the defective 1997 RAVE housings. They need to replaced with 96 or 98+ housings.

Think the 98 was the fastest since the hull is a hair lighter than the rest (except the 95 XP800). I am running 97 SPX water box in mine because I heard the baffles wont break like the 96s.

98's are single coil and 99+ models are dual coil. If you mix up the MPEMs or mag cups between the two you will have timing issues.

97 SPX, great ski. Most sought after are the 98 and 99 SPX.

Some do run two different oils. I just use the same in both.
