Thats backwards in photo, Hull area <- clamp on hose on it then clamp on bearing. Bearing towards PTO/Engine

Maybe Mag or coil terminal connector ?

I have a tach from 1994 XP that fits in the small dash cover hole that the 97 XP doesn't have anything in. My 2001 has a tach but control module is way different. So that terminal position is different
