What did the plugs look like. Normal rich or lean

These are easy to work on except the part where you drill out the rivets to get to the fuel pump filters which by now are beyond useful life

Turned out to be a bad map sensor

Does it always have to be the last sensor you evaluate spent hours testing everything else

I have a pair of these also. Thinking about doing those shaft seals and I am putting in a bilge pump

so i unplugged that map sensor and it threw a code i started it anyway and she wanted to run better than ever a little too well so i shut it down quickly

ive had a bit of fun and frustration here chasing down all the gremlins. 2007 gti se still running rich.

So far I agree it’s running a bit rich and I’ve gone over the sensors with cando pro on the laptop. Very cool by the way. As well as bench checked

I just finished taking a pill pump out of my same machine in the bottom of the fuel tank was yucky I clean the bottom up then I figured out how to change both the Filters on the pump It made a huge difference

I just drained my tanks and pulled the fuel pumps I was a Little yucky on the very bottom so I cleaned and changed the two filters on the pump. It was obvious when I had it apart made a huge difference

I also no that not every thing will throw a code

Yea got the code reader day one of the twin gti se skis I acquired last fall.

If it’s rich can I diagnose with my cando pro?

So no leaks for sure. What sensor would that be

Great idea as I feel there’s room for improvement

And thanks for that I’ve done it and no change took out each one used a 9 volt battery etc.
