Ahh that makes sense. And probably about right. We were in London, Ontario a couple of weeks ago for a weekend. Very neat area. Going over the US/Canada bridge by Port Huron the water was the most gorgeous blue, we couldn't believe it. Looked like the Caribbean or something.

I would walk away unless it's like new and includes a trailer. Or negotiate more. Not horrible but not great. The bigger motors are often good for 1,000 hrs but I don't know about the 787cc, but maybe priced a bit high. Area makes a big difference there. I have a 07 gti 130 (hp) with 120...

    Efoil

Have any of you tried foiling? Behind a boat or the amazing E foils? simply INCREDIBLE feeling of flying. Like you're on a magic carpet ride. Fliteboard or Lift (what I got) are the 2 big names. I haven't been on my jetski since I got it, and thats a common phenomenon.

    2002 FX140 Oddity

Yes, nothing likes sitting anymore with the danged alcohol gas. Evaporates and leaves gunk that clogs jets in carbs (or injectors?)

    Trying to pick a ski

I've not owned one, but wanted to and researched and I saw a fair amount of discussion that the 550 was the sweet spot of power and size and the 650 was bigger and heavier, faster but not necessarily more fun.

Ladder for Sportster LE DI 2005

You can add steps to any jet ski, guessing it's the same for you boat. But you do drill into/through the hull so you have to make sure you don't hit anything. Google search your boat and steps to find video or pics of the procedure. Simple enough but scary putting screws that breach the hull...

Check the plugs, easy fix if that's it. Was on mine.

Is the 230 noticeably quicker then the 170

60hp is more than 33%+, yeh that's going to be a big difference.

    2011 seadoo gti 130 se

I bought a very low hr (67) 2007 3 years ago. Ran like a top for 1.5 years then started to sputter and not reach top end speed. Figured fuel filter or similar but danged if plugs didn't have it running like a champ. Less than 20 hrs on those plugs. Very very weird......

I don't understand why these skis are so 'hard on' spark plugs. Typical 4 stroke, 1,500cc motorcycle or car engine would go 10 years on spark plugs (or close). These things seem to go "through them" like very couple of years with VERY little usage by comparison. Why??
