1994 seadoo xp dies at full/ 3/4 throttle

So, having just gone through a similar issue, I'd ask if: 1. All your carb passages are clean and spraying as they should. 2. Your carb filters are clean 3. Your filter/water separator is clean 4. The high speed screws are set correctly The test I've been using is that when it stalls, smoothly...

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

So, just as an update for everyone on this issue, I think that I've got it figured out. It seems that the bolts on the exhaust flange right above the airbox had worked loose a bit, and so there was a pretty significant exhaust leak there. My guess is that, in addition to the lack of...

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

I'm well aware of this now, hence why, even though it was actually running decently, I re-rebuilt them with all Mikuni parts.

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

I've not gotten a chance to I've not gotten a chance to adjust the high speed yet, but I had adjusted the low speed to where they're pretty close to 1, and it seems to be running well there, aside from the issues mentioned in the thread. As for what happened with the old engine, I really have...

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

I guess I'm just super worried about running too lean and screwing something up. I'm curious about what the throttle should feel like as well, as it seems like there's a distinct "step" in mine around 1/3-1/2 throttle where there's a very distinctive increase in acceleration as well. It's not...

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

Yes, as mentioned, I've replaced all of the grey Tempo lines before I rebuilt the carbs. I don't have any fuel filters other than the ones inside the carbs themselves, and the stock water separator, which was cleaned out before the rebuild and I also checked it again once I started having the...

1996 XP losing speed/dies at extended throttle.

Just trying to sort out kind of a weird issue I've been having with an XP I've been working on over the season. I just put a new motor (165PSI in both cylinders) in it with freshly cleaned and rebuilt carbs. Mikuni kit, popoff on both carbs right at 29PSI. LS needles at 1-1/4, HS at 1/4...

    2006 rxt Rough idle/miss.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I've got an identical ski and basically identical problems. Brand new SC rebuild, weird misses in that exact RPM range, but my RPMs are a bit higher, getting to 7600 typically once everything is warmed up.

2006 RXT Knocking noise at 3000RPM

Weird question, but is there a chance that the noise could be cavitation? I took a look at the wear ring, and yeah... It was so worn in one section that it actually sawed it in half and came out in two pieces. Haven't gotten it in the water since replacing it, but just realized that might have...

Unused seadoo gti 2006 for 15 years

One other suggestion I'd add is to remove the spark plugs and spray a good deal of penetrating lube into the cylinders, and let it sit overnight before attempting to crank it. In case the bores have gotten a bit sticky with rust, it'll help free them and avoid scoring the cylinders.

2006 RXT Knocking noise at 3000RPM

It generally feels fine from what I can tell, and doesn't really feel like it's missing bad at that speed. Maybe a slight stumble, but if you work it up from 0-100% throttle, it doesn't really hesitate or anything. If you're riding it, you'll only notice it when you're specifically cruising...

2006 RXT Knocking noise at 3000RPM

Hi all, I wanted to see if I could get some help figuring out this weird issue I'm having with a 2006 RXT. I inhereted it from my father with a basically unknown history as he's never been big on any sort of maintenance, and it also sat down in FL uncovered for close to 2 years, so I went...

1997 SeaDoo Bombardier XP to much fuel

As someone who just bought a 96 XP with literally the exact same issue, it's 100% the carbs. If they didn't replace the grey fuel lines, even if they rebuilt them, you're going to have the exact same thing happen and you're back to square one.

    1997 XP supercharger whine

It definitely sounds like it's coming from the front, so I'm guessing it's probably the engine. The driveshaft bearing is in the rear end with the zerk fitting, correct? I'm also presuming checking any of the latter in the engine would be a full engine-out rebuild at that point anyway. No...

    1997 XP supercharger whine

So, to just get it out of the way: Yes, I am very dumb, should have read the stickies, etc etc. With that out of the way, I'm looking for some assistance with a 1997 XP a friend recently purchased. After having just bought a non-running 1996 XP and finding it was gummed up and flooding due to...
